At CDL we believe…

We believe in engaging imaginations to solve problems creatively.

We believe in creating a learning environment for youth based on mutual respect and acceptance.

We believe in connecting with youth through interest-based learning.

Young people will realize their potential to succeed when provided with positive role models and a supportive environment in which to explore their creativity.

Every youth is an individual and has the right and need to express themselves.

Through the creative and scientific process, youth will gain confidence in their ability to affect positive change in their living, learning, and working communities.

For our participants and us, it is imperative they see their reflection in their educators, mentors, coaches, and community leaders. We believe that not only does this create a greater multicultural awareness and inclusion which helps participants with different backgrounds and needs succeed, but it encourages acceptance and helps prepare our participants to thrive in an exponentially diverse world.

"This program hasn’t just taught me academics. It has taught me a lot about myself and what I am capable of doing."

Goals

Dreaming of a permanent home!

CDL is extremely grateful for our place in the community and it is our goal within the next three years to have a permanent home to call our own. A place where we can hold shows, host camps, and run year round programming!

The return is great

For every $75 you invest at CDL, one student will receive snack for a whole semester of programming.
